Gum Weapon Parameter Adjustments
The Ninjala development team is dedicated to ensuring that players can enjoy a wide variety of battling styles.
After careful observation of winning percentages and popularity by gum weapon and Shinobi Cards, we have implemented a host of balance adjustments.
The main adjustments are the strengthening of IPPON Katana, Scroll Blade, and Shinobuzz Paper Fan, as well as changes to the effects of Assist Codes that have low usage rates.
We hope these refinements will allow players to continue to enjoy diverse styles of play in Ninjala battles.
IPPON Katana | Scroll Blade | Shinobuzz Paper Fan |
---|---|---|
・The 1st stage of normal attacks have received the following adjustments:
You will now move further when attacking.
・The 1st - 4th stages of back attacks have received the following adjustments:
Increased the speed at which you warp behind your opponent.
Shortened attack combo time.
・Accelerated the occurrence of wide attacks.
・Charging Slash has received the following adjustments:
Increased charge speed.
Increased homing ability.
Sped up cancel timing of jumps, dodges, and Gum Guard when attacks miss.
Charging Slash previously had poor homing ability, and it was difficult to hit opponents using mid-range Gum Shoots unless done while standing still.
Now that its homing ability has been increased, it will be easier to attack opponents with Charging Slash when starting at mid-range.
Drill Beast | Corn Bat | Bird Drill |
---|---|---|
・Normal attacks have received the following adjustments:
You will now move further when attacking.
Sped up cancel timing when jumping and dodging when attacks miss.
・Increased the speed at which you warp behind your opponent for back attacks.
・The 3rd stage of wide attacks have received the following adjustments:
Fixed an issue in which IPPONs would not occur.
Changed the number of hits from 3 hits to 1 hit so that it is not as easily affected by lag issues.
There is no change to the total damage dealt.
・Changed the behavior of break attacks so you can attack without moving.
Various adjustments have been made so that Auto-proximity is easier to use following the previous updates.
Since the occurrence and range of break attacks was good, it is now easier to attack opponents that guard in various ways.
Scrap Saber | Chewing V |
---|---|
・The following adjustments have been made to "Froggy Block":
Slowed the occurrence of back attacks, wide attacks, and specials.
Removed hitstop.
Slowed cancel timing for jumping and dodging when attacks miss.
Froggy Block was an incredibly strong skill since it could not be guarded against and was difficult to dodge because of its speed.
With these adjustments, the occurrence of Froggy Block will be slowed so that it will require you to aim carefully at your opponents to catch them off guard.
SK8 Hammer | Sushi Axe | GR8 Gear |
---|---|---|
・Increased the duration of Super Armor for Iron Body.
Since the weakening of Gum Boost Impact and Gum Net in previous adjustments has also greatly impacted Iron Body, the duration of Super Armor has been adjusted and its rampage time has also been extended.
Iron Noise | Drum Beat |
---|---|
・Opponents affected by Gum Bind will no longer be released when hit by sound waves.
This change was made in order for the new Iron Bind Shinobi Card to be easier to use.
Pop Eye | Cerberus |
---|---|
・Increased the life recovery gained from Eat Alive.
Hunting prey with Eat Alive is fun, so its life recovery has been increased.
Ninja Yo-yo | Shinobi Spinner | ASAKUSA Wheel |
---|---|---|
・Changed the number of back attack hits from 6 hits to 5 hits so that it is not as easily affected by lag issues.
There is no change to the total damage dealt.
Mellow à la Mode | Trick Ball |
---|---|
・Accelerated the occurrence of break attacks.
Extreme Motor | DJ Scratch |
---|---|
・Normal attacks have received the following adjustments:
Accelerated the occurrence of attacks.
Accelerated the speed at which Super Armor is applied.
Increased charge speed.
・Back attacks have received the following adjustments:
Accelerated the occurrence of attacks.
Increased the time that you are immobilized when your attack is guarded against, and decreased immobilization time for opponents.
・Slowed the occurrence of break attacks.
Dragon Lord
・When homing targets for Dragon Lord disappear, it will now prioritize targets that are not invincible when finding new targets.
This adjustment will make the dragon even smarter.
Wall Shooter
・The effects of Ninjutsu Gauge+ have received the following adjustments:
Before: Successfully executing a gum bind will increase your Ninjutsu gauge while standing on walls.
After: Successfully executing a Gum Shoot will increase your Ninjutsu Gauge while standing on walls.
The activation requirements have been relaxed so that you only need to hit your opponent with a Gum Shoot for your Ninjutsu Gauge to increase.
Be careful of ninjas that cling to walls.
Ninja Sense Pro
・You can now Auto-Target transformed opponents when you see through their disguise.
Utsusemi Master
・Increased cost.
・The effects of See Foe Position have received the following adjustments:
Before: Temporarily reveal location of foes in range upon Utsusemi Master See Foe Position explosion.
After: Increases the time it takes for a Setting Time+ Utsusemi to disappear after being activated.
After hitting an opponent with their Utsusemi Master, players would often choose to follow up with a combo and try to KO their opponents, so it was difficult to make use of seeing your foe's location.
With this adjustment, you will be able to increase the time in which your Utsusemi is set until it disappears, and it will be easier to use Utsusemi in ways other than direct attacks, such as to protect yourself or to lay traps.
Discerning Eye
・The effects of Tsuiseki have received the following adjustments:
Before: Temporarily reveal foes' position after destroying nearby drones with Tsuiseki.
After: The location of opponents near Drones can be seen through walls within a certain range using Search.
Since opponents who had defeated drones would run away quickly, it was difficult to make use of seeing through walls.
With this adjustment, you will be able to check the situation surrounding drones beforehand, so that you can easily plan your battles near them or find safer ones.
Life Drain
・Increased the life recovery gained from individual Shinobi Cards.
・Reduced the cost for Life Absorption+, Damage Down, and Gum Damage Down.
Parting Utsusemi
・Cost has been reduced.
Gum Boost Impact
・Made it more difficult for your movement speed to be decreased by the effects of slow opponents' movement.
Due to a limit that had been placed on movement speed and the weakening of Starting Dash in prior adjustments, it is no longer possible to use multiple Gum Boosts.
Since the slow opponents' movement speed effect of the already powerful Gum Boost Impact became even stronger as a result, it has been weakened.
Quick Respawn
・Decreased the life recovery gained from Recovery Rate+.
Since Quick Respawn would erase the disadvantage of respawning with a low amount of life when using an Assist Code, giving it a high usage and victory rate, it has been weakened.
You will now respawn with less life when using Quick Respawn.
Energy Hoarder
・Reduced the cost for Shinobi Cards and Ninjutsu Gauge+.
・Slightly increased Ninjutsu Gauge capacity for Ninjutsu Gauge+.
Cost has been reduced for any greedy ninjas who want to equip more Assist Codes.
Battle Adjustments
・When obtaining an energy life gum in Team Battles, the healing effect will now display for your entire team.
Resolution of Known Issues
・Fixed an issue in which you would not be immobilized when guarding against Gum Boost Impact while you either didn't have a weapon or were under the effects of Shinobi Beast.
・Fixed an issue in which you could dodge attacks by using a sticker in battle.
・Fixed an issue in which the Ninjutsu Gauge would not increase when attacking with Here and There under specific circumstances.
・Fixed an issue in which Shinobi Beast would not display correctly under specific circumstances.
・Fixed an issue in which it was difficult to land hits with Gum Launcher under specific circumstances.
・Fixed an issue in which the scroll for Baiting Shark would remain for longer than intended.
・Fixed an issue in which Ninjala Passes and reward items could not be correctly obtained from in-game mail in certain network conditions.
・Various adjustments and bug fixes have been implemented to ensure a smooth and enjoyable gameplay experience.
