The World of Ninjala
The year is 20XX. The ninja, who once forged the history of Oedo, were scattered across the country during the Meiji Restoration.
As ninjas mingled with other clans, their bloodline thinned, and they gradually faded from sight. The descendants of these ninja clans, seeking to preserve their heritage, formed the WNA (World Ninja Association) in the hope of carrying on their legacy.
And so it was that the WNA succeeded in developing Ninja-Gum, an art which could summon forth the strength of the Shinobi.
And yet creating the most powerful Ninja-Gum requires the strongest of ninja DNA.
So it was that the Ninjala Tournament was held, that the mightiest of all ninjas could be found...
Van
A cheerful boy who lives with his mother and enjoys playing basketball. He's so naturally talented that all his friends call him a prodigy.
Berecca
A researcher working with Burton at the WNA Research Institute. Ate some prototype ninja-gum and was turned into a child.
Ron
A researcher developing ninja gum at the WNA Research Institute. Ron is an enigmatic type who doesn't speak much.
Lucy
A young girl who has long concealed her hidden talent. After a traumatic event caused her to shut herself out from the world, she entered WNA Training School at her mother's request.
Burton
A researcher working with Berecca at the WNA Research Institute. Ate some prototype ninja-gum and was turned into a child.
Emma
A dancing sensation with fans all over the world. Her perfect sense of rhythm and incredible acrobatic skills have won her fame as the “Ninja Dancer.”
Kappei
A boy who studies swordsmanship under his grandfather. One day, he learns that he is truly descended from ninjas.
Jane
An expert hacker for the WNA. Receiving a top-secret order from the WNA's Intelligence Division, she hacks into the system to retrieve data on the development of ninja-gum.
Ninja-Gum and Side Effects
A type of gum developed by the WNA to bring out the power of the Shinobi. It's an indispensable item at Ninjala tournaments.
It has one major side effect: any adult who eats it will be turned into a child. (Children are not known to suffer side effects of any kind.)
