Gum Weapon Parameter Adjustments
The Ninjala development team is dedicated to ensuring that players can enjoy a wide variety of battling styles.
After careful observation of winning percentages by each gum weapon and weapon popularity, we have implemented a host of balance adjustments.
This time, the main focus was on enhancing Mellow à la Mode and Trick Ball, which have had low win percentages, and weakening Slash Kicks X and Crushpop.
Additionally, in order to improve the play experience, overall Gum Boost performance has been adjusted to reduce the frequency of free-for-alls and prevent players from taking advantage of them as easily.
This is also expected to alleviate position misalignment when network lag occurs.
We hope these refinements will allow players to continue to enjoy diverse styles of play in Ninjala battles.

-Slowed the speed at which the Super Armor of High Tempo Beat is applied.
-Increased Gum Boost speed at small and medium sizes.
-Slowed Gum Boost speed at large size.
High Tempo Beat is a special that can increase the offensive capabilities of you and your allies. The speed at which its Super Armor was applied made it too strong defensively, so the decision was made to weaken it.
Moving forward, opportunities to turn the tides of battle with Super Armor will be reduced, so the timing of the activation will become even more important.
In addition, along with the general Gum Boost speed adjustments made for all weapons, the speed of Gum Boost at large size has been reduced for balance.
To make up for the Gum Boost speed reduction at large size, the speed of Gum Boost at small and medium sizes has been increased since it was especially slow.

-The following adjustments have been made to Full-Throttle Field:
The life recovery effect will now continue for a certain period of time even after leaving the effect area.
The amount of life recovered has been adjusted.
-Adjusted the life recovery gained from Eat Alive.
Full-Throttle Field, like High Tempo Beat before it, had a limited range in which its benefits could be received. This meant that there were only a few situations it could be effective in. As a result, adjustments have been made.
From now on, you will be able to receive its benefits even after leaving the effect area. However, in exchange, its effects and the amount of life recovery have been adjusted.
Ninja Yo-yo | Shinobi Spinner | ASAKUSA Wheel |

-The following adjustments have been made to the forced transformation attacks of Beyond the Gum and Golden March.
After a forced transformation, the opponent's action will now be interrupted immediately.
They also now penetrate Super Armor and Blast Barrier.
-Slowed Gum Boost speed at large size.
The forced transformation attacks of Beyond the Gum and Golden March are fearsome attacks that neutralize the opponent for a certain period of time and allow you to attack with impunity.
However, since they had no effect against opponents with Super Armor or Blast Barrier, they have been difficult to use effectively in recent battles, and so have been strengthened.
You will still need to be cautious of getting interrupted, but there should now be more situations where you can get the upper hand in one-on-one battles.
In addition, the speed of Gum Boost at large size is among the fastest of all weapons, so it has been slowed down.
Matsuri Board | Camu Camu Plate | Ninja Carpet |
---|---|---|
-During Sweet Ride and Sonic Trick, it is now easier to receive attack power boosts in addition to those from your weapon attributes.
-Slowed Gum Boost speed at large size.
Until now, it has been difficult to receive other attack power boosts when repeatedly landing tricks during Sweet Ride and Sonic Trick. As a result, it has been adjusted so that it is easier to receive power boosts while landing tricks.
From now on, you will be able to launch even stronger attacks if you're able to fulfill the conditions for multiple attack power boosts.
In addition, the speed of Gum Boost at large size is among the fastest of all weapons, so it has been slowed down.
Home Run Surfer | Ninja Calibur |
---|---|
-Slowed jump cancel timing for Surfing Cannon.
-Slowed Gum Boost speed at large size.
An adjustment has been made in order to prevent jump cancels from being performed unintentionally.
In addition, the speed of Gum Boost at large size is among the fastest of all weapons, so it has been slowed down.
Paw-xing Gloves | Ogre Gloves | Chelae Magnum |
---|---|---|
-Slowed Gum Boost speed at large size.
The speed of Gum Boost at large size is among the fastest of all weapons, so it has been slowed down.
Pow Wow Cannon | Oedo Cannon |
---|---|
-The speed of Gum Boost has been slowed.
Overall mobility was too high considering its drone destruction capabilities, so its Gum Boost has been slowed.
Slash Kicks X | Crushpop |
---|---|
-Changed the ranged strength of its back attack so that it does not interfere with other ranged moves.
-Reduced the Special cooldown recovery from Strike Chance.
-The following adjustments have been made to Variable Stance:
Normal attacks and back attacks now hit opponents through the floor and walls of the stage.
Delayed the start timing for wide attack guard reception.
Your stance will no longer end even if you activate Variable Stance while holding down the guard button.
-Increased Gum Boost speed at small and medium sizes.
-Slowed Gum Boost speed at large size.
Strike Chance gives this weapon the impressive ability to score consecutive IPPONs, but it was a little too strong. As a result, it has been weakened.
While Variable Stance does need to be activated in advance, it was too easy to aim for counters with wide attacks, so the timing for successful guarding has been made stricter.
To make up for this, normal and back attacks have been enhanced to make them easier to use on slopes and in confined places.
Turnabout Guard
-Decreased the reduction to damage and gum damage.
Its usage rates were particularly high in Team Battles, and because the effects were too strong in comparison to the required activation conditions, it has been weakened.
Since it is now less durable, it is also less reliable.
Battle Adjustments
Drone Adjustments
Adjusted collision detection for KABUKI Drones (L).
These adjustments were made since long-range attacks, like some Gum Shoots, could fail to hit players who were close to KABUKI Drones.
Attacks may now also hit the player if they are launched from directly behind.
Measures Against Disconnection During Battle
Up until now, players who disconnected from the Standby Dojo or Matching Lobby repeatedly have had their use of matchmaking temporarily restricted.
From now on, users who disconnect during battle will also be subject to matching usage restrictions.
In addition, we have adjusted our judgment methods in order to more strictly handle users who repeatedly leave matchmaking.
Resolution of Known Issues
-Fixed an issue where Set-Drones would not be destroyed and could no longer be hit if their life was reduced to 0 from a Variable Stance normal attack or back attack.
-Fixed an issue where the life displayed at the bottom left of the screen was sometimes displayed at about 20% when respawning.
-Fixed an issue where the first activation of Baiting Shark in a battle would instead cause a normal attack under certain conditions.
-Fixed an issue where Variable Stance's attacks would hit Gum Ninjutsu and Gum Shoots.
-Various adjustments and bug fixes have been implemented to ensure a smooth and enjoyable gameplay experience.
